FLYEfit Swords is in Airside Retail Park, just five minutes from Dublin Airport and the Pavilion Shopping Centre. This is one of the largest FLYEfit gyms that features a range of cutting-edge equipment, a large range of cardio machines, spin studio, Astro area and Olympic lifting.
From June 6th, Swords will be RETURNING TO 24 HOURS Monday – Friday! Weekends & Bank Holidays excluded.
Members can avail of 2-hours free parking in basement carpark. PIN number required to exit and this is available in the Gym.
Equipment is often broken and takes ages to be replaced. Bathrooms always run out of soap. No disinfectant spray to wipe down equipment.Staff just walk around talking to each other. No rule enforcement. Guys have their kitbags on the floor. Walking around topless

It’s good. Spacious and lots of equipment. One niggle I have is that a lot of the machines only have one of each type. So if you’re waiting for a guy to get off his phone so you can finish your set you have to wait for the one and only machine. Each machine should be one of two at least. I understand there’d be less choice but no more waiting on the popular machine.An example is the Lat Pulldown. I was in at 5am this morning. Went down to the ground floor to use that machine. There was one other person on the floor at that time. On that machine ffffffuuuuu. I did another exercise and then somebody else came down and started queuing for the machine. I didn’t bother waiting.

Swords gym: Always something out of order. Today 2 treadmills out of action, step trainer not working, a bike with 1 peddle. 2 cable machines downstairs not working earlier this week. A lot of mats town up and have chunks gone out ot them.

The parking system is ridiculous, they change the code all the time and when you want to leave sometimes you forget the code or confuse it with another number. They should improve this system and provide a better experience for members.

3 years ago: My favourite gym in Swords. Good equipment, 3 floors to mess around on, nice staff and very well managed throughout the pandemic (when it was accessible), fab booking system. And all for a great price!Update 2024: broken padding on benches and damaged weights were replaced, and that was a massive improvement!

Just reviewing cycling options which are very bad bikes.. out of 5 bikes, 2 are regular spin bikes- one missing the console screen and it’s impossible to tighten up the saddle properly. Second one has dodgy pedals and something is “cracking” there when moving them. Other 3 are Realryder bikes which are already pretty awful – they move too much. for some reason most of the saddles are pointing up to dig into your private parts, some of these bikes can’t be adjusted at all, the material on saddles cracked so happy holes in your pants 🤣The rest of the gym equipment.. we’ll it is the same story-old equipment, a bear minimum of machines, mostly treadmills & cross trainers and squat racks, gotta walk around the floor to find plates to use..actually regret joining the gym.Happy Flyefit 👽

This gym has so much potential, but all the equipment is old, and hanging together. some have 2.5kg plates under to keep steady. theres 3 floors but none of it makes any sense. just random equipment on each floor. the equipment needs to be updated to the hammer strenght and life fitness stuff they’re using in new gyms. This is by far the worst of all the flyefits.

The Gym is deteriorating, with malfunctioning machines left unattended for days and, in some instances, weeks. There’s a shortage of plated weights, and the machine support pads show signs of weathering and are falling off. The Gym needs a good restoration of life to return to its former glory!

I just went once to try it because I have the roaming membership. Its not the usual one I go to. Its massive. Must be the biggest gym they have. 4 floors with all the equipment you need for good workout (cardio + strength machines). The top floor is space for classes like yoga, spinning etc. Huge space for yoga and pilates there. There are some machines broken (but they have a sign telling you so). There’s so many machines it didn’t bother me. I did an overnight session just to try it (give the 24 hr gym a lash). It was busy up until 12AM, then hardly anyone from then till 5AM when people started coming in again. A good few by 6AM. I’m delighted I did the overnight session as there were only a handful there and I got to use all the machines and equipment without having to wait (I hear that evening times it does get super busy). Quiet between 12am – 5am. Great workout if you can manage or have time to go in those wee hours! There’s free parking at level -1 too for 2 hours too. Enough for a good workout!

Hello Head Office, I appreciate the new way to access the gym via QR Code, and although we had sign that the new system would be in place, you guys could at least inform in advance the day that it’d be the new way. Inform today, that today is the day is not ideal. The results are obvious! Most users are stuck at the entrance because no one knew that it’d be mandatory from today. Informing in advance could help us to download the app and login at home, so the time to get in the gym would be by far faster than it’s happening on this transition.Plus the app needs improvement. It changes the brightness of our mobile to 100% and it don’t reverts back once closed.

UPDATE: Very annoying that their opening times are unclear. As per the picture, the weekend opening time is until 10pm. But half way through a rowing session I was interrupted by a staff member saying they were closing, at 7:30pm. Elsewhere in the gym it says open Mon-Fri until 11:30pm and within 20 feet from that sign is another saying open 24 hours on weekdays. The sign in the pic says until midnight. Which is it?Very hard to plan anything when they can’t get their times right.Still a decent gym. But get the basics right, like opening times.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Very good gym which also includes private parking across the road. There are multiple of the same weights/racks/machines so wait times aren’t too bad. One thing they’re missing though is a captains chair. Covid set up is reasonable with plenty of sanitisation stations. Good opening hours too – not 24/7 like in the past but 5am to 10pm weekedays and closing at 7:30pm on weekends.

I can’t fault it as a gym, it has everything that I need a great selection of equipment. Parking isn’t really a problem as I go at an off peak time when it is not very busy.Edit: it’s gone downhill, lots of old and worn equipment that could do with maintenance, also lots of broken equipment that is not fixed for ages.

This gym is actually very good, the amount of space is absolutely brilliant your not on top of each other and it’s not full of show offs, I never really bothered going to gyms as most of them are full of show offs and little space having to wait around for equipment but there is loads of equipment so plenty to go around. It opens early and late which is a bonus it also does classes which I haven’t done yet but great to have to offer also the price is great and you can use all the gyms for 35 per month.

I normally go here during the mornings as it is quiet. Especially on Sundays. It is a huge gym with 3 floors. All the equipment is there for your workout. I would recommend coming here.

really strange layout but decent range of machines/equipment. Seen a couple of people work out bearfoot (not even in socks) in the squat rack, on treadmill etc – big negative in my view, very poor from a hygiene standpoint…athlete’s foot????? gross. reason for 2 stars

I was hoping this would be my new go-to gym, but the general standard of the equipment is VERY poor. There is a number of machines that are damaged, rusty and difficult/uncomfortable to use. Needs some TLC and maintenance overall. Another cable machine would be appreciated for members. Cleanliness of the changing rooms was good and the parking spaces (across the road situated at Airside Retail Park) is free.

Usually I workout in city centre, Flyefit Swords Airside I’ve visited just recently. But I really enjoyed my workout, 3 floor, huge space, lot’s of equipment, not the newest one but all in good condition, probably I’ve been there out of frequent hours, so no very crowded and nicely enjoyed my workout. No worries anymore about rumours regarding parking, there’s a lot’s of free parking at Retail parking….just across the road 2 minutes walk. Surely recommended.

Its not open 24hrs anymore, I work late shifts and usually go to the gym late so its a bit disappointing, glad they kept the roaming membership or else itll just be like any other gyms. Other than that the facility is still great.3 floors makes working out nice and spacious…Plenty of equipment for all your needs… but like all other gyms if you go during rush hour or peak times well prepare to share.Punching bag is a nice touch, for boxing training

Very spacious gym, with many different types of equipment. I always go at peak time and am still able do do my workout without having to wait ages for a free equipment or spot. Changing room is nice and clean ( very different from the one in Jervis street that I used to go to) and the staff is very friendly! Just wish they had another cable crossover machine.

Still early days in this gym but three floors with equipments for conditioning, cardio, powerlifting weightlifting and bodybuilding. All staff I met are friendly and helpful. Gym with the weirdest benches I have ever come across though, trust me, don’t powerlift bench press here it will mess you up cause of the angle of most of their benches, also missing some important equipments for a gym with three floors. Membership price with roaming is surprisingly good for what you get

Quite a spacious gym. Amenities aplenty and staff are quite friendly and gives advice on machines and form when doing workouts.The gym can get busy during peak hours but past that it calms down later on during the night. Anyone who prefers to workout in peace should use the gym past 9:30pm.

Gym is good value and well equipped but the free parking isn’t great. Often hard to find a space and the 2 hours free can be hit and miss. I’ve been charged anywhere from €3 to €7.50 when still within my 2 hour window which is frustrating.The gym itself has state of the art equipment and offers a varied range of classes free of charge as part of your membership. The staff are friendly and very approachable if you need advice or guidance. They also offer a free gym introduction class to members.

Fantastic gym facility. Huge indoor space spread over 3 floors. Top floor is mainly cardio machines along with a small weights are and a few machines. 2nd floor has a large astro area and open floor for yoga matts, as well as a small weights area with cable machines. The bottom floor is the heavy weights section: lots of machines and squat racks spread throughout the spacious floor. One of the best gym facilities I’ve witnessed, at an affordable price.

Great gym for anyone looking for the flexibility of working out at odd hours as they open 24/7 and are very affordable.They have plenty of machines, free weights, cross-fit and TRX sections to train at that are located over 3 floors. They also run a wide variety of classes between 6:30 and 7:30.On the downside, showers close at 7:30 (a little odd for a round the clock gym) and can get extremely busy/crowded at times. Parking is another issue with 90mn free allowance.

Decent Gym, great equipment and always clean. My only gripe is the fact that the bicycle parking facilities are dismal, the only place to lock a bicycle is on the canopy. Secure and suitable bicycle parking would give this place a 5 star rating in my book.

Good gym for your a quick workout, quite a few treadmills and crossfit machines, good space and good basic equipment. Good classes as well, the lunch time spin class is quick (30 min) and good too. Showers are not good though, they are a real let down

The gym looked really nice and I wanted to join but I had such a terrible experience trying to join with the systems thay have In place. I’m working in the area for 4 week and had a break so wanted to do a quick workout and join but thay didn’t have any card Machine on site or way of taking cash at all! just a computer outside the door. Not even a front desk with someone to explain.

Joined it a while back for 4 years I was a member and it was the fastest growing 24hr gym in all of Ireland , 30 euro a month 24hrs a day which was amazing I could go anytime I wanted to. They developed it a lot over the time I was there adding an additional 3rd ground floor area making it 3 floors of just gym.Be careful not to go if yo dont like a lot of eyes or people around you between 6pm and 7:30 pm as the mammys classes are on and it will be packed with spin classers.The biggest flaw in it now is that the owner of the building now wants to charge for parking at a very high rate when initially underground parking was free, then it went from free to only half the car park being opened up meaning you had to park further away across the main road in the Mcdonalds car park shopping area, which now seems to be clamping people so its a great gym but if you mess up your parking you will PAY for it big time

Solid Work Out Station, 3 Floors, Wide range of free weights, boxing area just recently upgraded, good variety of machines and the most friendly staff ever. Member since over 3 years. Nice views and plenty of natural light, good ambient while your workout
