Long waiting line to use any machines due to few machines available . And it takes ages to fix the machine which are out of order. Almost every other machine used for leg workout is not in working condition.

Me and a colleague visited this gym recently. First impressions were terrible. We went inside and stood there for like a minute until a member of staff greeted us. We then asked for a day pass and it was the most complicated system ive ever experienced. Previous gyms ive visited have a simple day pass where you just pay at the counter and you can go in but here you must download an app which requires all of your information such as adresss, phone number and email. So after this we were finally able to go inside, the locker room inside was very small and cramped but i wont complain as i understand there is limited available space in the establishment. The gym it self had a very poor selection of equipment. For some reason there is one barbell bench setup in the whole gym and eight squat racks. The gym had a lack of plates so we had to borrow plates off of members in between sets. The place where you rack plates cant fit 3 plates of the same size so either its safer to leave them on the floor or if you wish to potentially hurt yourself as the plates are on the rack at an angle and could easily fall off. Another complaint is that lack of spotter arms for the number of squat racks, why there isnt a safetie for each squat i do not know. There was also a lack of dumbbells for how crowded the gym was at 12pm on a monday.

I’ve got 2 words for this gym: “best gym ever”There is so much good thing going on in even at and within this gym so it cannot be so good but it is and even the staff are very helpful especially this guy Jake who greets everyone with “it’s hug time get over here” and gives you hugs even if you don’t want em last week I tried to sneak past but Jake he saw and gave me his “signature turbo hug” that went on for TWENTY SECONDS if I had one suggestion for whole of gym it would be maybe make it so much like even if it wasn’t at the time but when it closes they could open first half only but make it at the same time?

I joined Flyefit CHQ in February 2024 having not been able to train for almost a year in a gym for almost a year. It appealed to me because of how close it is to my work and the cost of roaming for the year. The roaming membership is appealing because I don’t live near CHQ and can get to a gym close to home also.Initially when I joined I attended mostly the A & Abs, Strong, Pump & Sweat classes after work. The times suited me. After two months I decided I would like to increase the weight of what I was doing in class (never really did weights before). I started personal training with Lukasz and found them really good. Lukasz is a very good PT and breaks everything down really well.The class instructors are great and very engaging, the class durations are not too long so they make sure the class keeps going and the energy is high. My favourite class instructors are: Jake (Sweat), Nathan (Sweat), Lukasz (A & Abs, Pump, Strong), Diego (Sweat), Alexandra (A & Abs, Pump, Strong). All of the staff are super friendly and helpful, Lily has been very helpful any time I needed her help.The gym can get quite busy so it’s worth checking the times you can attend and how busy it is. It’s a good, compact gym and looks very trendy.

It’s a bit quieter than the other gyms and it’s always clean. It feels a bit lacking in some sense. Multiple machines downstairs are out of service, there’s only one rowing machine, a bunch of the equipment in the upstairs cardio area are out of service or need maintenance.

The staff is the most useless I’ve ever seen, unattentive and uninterested in others minus the one polish guy who is an expert in what he does and seems very polite and humble, the rest have 0 experience in what they are doing and have no clue how to teach or train. Staff do not participate in the classes that they instruct. Instead they sit on the chair or spin bike yawning and counting 3,2,1 every few moments to pretend they are doing there job. Extremely lazy staff. The female romanian cleaner sits in the women’s bathroom with her phone propped up on the counter on video call to her beloved ones at home talking jibberish extremely loud while women are trying to shower and change clothes in the background of her video calls. Its so so uncomfortable. Disrespectful to all women in the changing room. The only reason I go here is because its next door to my appartment and I have no other options unless I want to travel. Place is extremely run down with no management for staff. Manager is non existing.

Academia é ruim. Lotada em todos os horários, não da nem para revezar de tanta gente, ja voltei algumas vezes para casa após não conseguir treinar. Em horários menos concorridos, ainda tem bastante gente. Tem apenas uma polia para a academia inteira. Impossível usar o aparelho. Para quem quer iniciar, tem que baixar um aplicativo e chegar pagando um valor maior da taxa de inscrição, não tendo a oportunidade de conhecer a academia antes.

The smallest changing rooms I’ve ever come across in a commercial gym. The total lack of ventilation also means they easily get up past 30 degrees C on any given day. Wouldn’t be surprised if somebody told me they didn’t meet the legal threshold for facility management.

If I could, I would give less than one star. The machines are always and perpetually broken, needing repairs for entire months and thus inaccessible. What’s the point of paying for a gym if you can’t even do your exercises? The staff is the most useless I’ve ever seen, unattentive and uninterested in others. I have been in more than 5 Flyefit, and easily can say that this is the worst ever.The machines are always broken, and could be like that for more than a month, always, I have visit this many often to guarantee this. This gym has really fallen off. At all times there are at least 3 key machines broken and out of order, which don’t get fixed for weeks (if not months) before breaking again. Not only the equipment, but the air condition seems to be broken some days and you get hit with a cloud of clammy sweat when you go to the underground level. It’s very disappointing as I have been going to this gym since before Covid and it used to feel like a premium gym. Not anymore since the last year or so

This lack of supervision became particularly problematic when an issue arose with a password lock purchased from the vending machine. With no staff in sight, my attempts to seek assistance were futile, leaving me frustrated and inconvenienced.Adding to the list of grievances, the restroom facilities were subpar. The state of cleanliness and maintenance in the restrooms fell far short of expectations, contributing to an overall negative impression of the branch. This only exacerbated the disappointing experience, as it underscored a lack of attention to essential aspects of customer comfort.In conclusion, the FyeFit CHQ failed to live up to expectations, with the absence of staff and subpar restroom conditions overshadowing any positive elements. This visit highlighted the critical need for improvement in both customer service and facility maintenance. I hope FyeFit addresses these issues promptly to enhance the overall satisfaction of patrons at this particular branch.

The classes are excellent and so are the coaches. But unfortunately if you’re facing issues with your bike’s lock they wouldn’t try to be helpful and let you leave your bike inside for just that one time. You should also arrive with lots of time in advance as there are long queues in the entrance due to their card entrance system which doesn’t work properly.

The gym is not too big, but classes not respecting their time frames make it even smaller, making it harder to have access to the equipments. A lot of the equipments are out of order or have a big line to be used. Even though there are signs on the equipments that advise you to ask for help with the staff, it’s impossible for you to find them, as they are always inside their room. I could list so many more problems, but by the reviews that they already got it’s not worth it, there won’t be a solution any time soon

Worse gym and management ever. The few equipments that they have were poorly chosen, so if you plan on doing a good leg workout, pick another gym. Most of the equipment is and has been broken for ages, and no one knows when (and if) they’re going to be fixed.The classes are terribly planned as they use half of the stretch/abs workout section, and whoever wants to use light gym plates have to wait until the class is done to continue our workout (I swear I didn’t make this up, it’s as stupid as it is).Last thing I’d like to mention is the one time I did a spinning class on a Sunday here, the instructor diminishing that I didn’t dare to come back.

Not very suitable for gym rats who like lifting weights. Range of dumbbells is incomplete, need more light weights for instance, no gear for calves, press for legs ok but overall the quality of equipment is not high. I usually work out in the morning and it was already a bit crowded. They don’t double the equipment so I had to do something else

I would like to complain about the worst place that I have been working out in my entire life. The gym is too crowded, I can’t use the machines and benches because there are always 2 or 3 people using them at the same time. Sometimes they take weeks to fix broken machines. The space is misused and has less machines than it should have. The location is great, but due to these issues I’m thinking about cancel my membership.

Flyefit CHQ is my favourite gym in Dublin. Great location, fantastic equipment. Been training here with a trainer by the name of Jake Callaghan. This without doubt the worst gym I have ever been to. I have the open membership for flyefit and normally go to Jervis street, which can also be packed but at least there are ‘some’ machines and more floor space. This place is like working out in a series of tiny dark dungeons, and particularly intimidating when trying to find the one machine you need for your routine. I did a spin class, tried to do my workout and couldn’t because there was literally no space and hardly any freeweights. So I left and went to the macken street flyefit which was also crazy packed (it was 6pm so… Ok…) But at least there was air, light, dumbells and a tiny bit of floor space. Will be avoiding this place in the future for sure.

What a great gym flyfit in chq is.staff were ever so helpful and the classes are excellent they provide. i was nervous joining but the help that jake and especially Graham provided to me to make it so much easier too go nothing seems to be a problem for them they go above and beyond for you..me personally is very greatful for the help and made it so easy to go and enjoy the gym

The worst gym I’ve ever been in. Not just a flyefit. The changing room is almost the size of a Starbucks toilet so it’s an extremely uncomfortable experience. Then you go out to the gym floor and I kid you not, like 95% of the machines, benches or anywhere to stand was being used. I literally spend 15 minutes there from entering to leaving. I simply could not do my workout.. I had no option of by bench, machine or even a standing area. All that was available during my 10 minute walk back and forth through the gym was a leg press machine.Yet another horrible flyefit experience but this was the worst as I didn’t even get to avail of anything.

I was visiting Dublin from the USA and wanted to work out in a fully- equipped gym. It was very easy to figure out how to buy a day-pass on their website. The gym has everything I needed including free weights and barbell bench press equipment. It was very clean and not too crowded.

The instructors are great but there is not enough room or equipment. Can be very intimidating for new comers. I think you guys should expand gym or provide more equipment. It can be very intimidating training on top of someone. Can also be dangerous

I don’t have a monthly gym membership but I went to the gym few times, duty manager by the name of ro Anderson came up when I pressed the bell, I informed him that he has seen me few times in this gym and that I lost my running shoes , and that they are in the gym . I told him that I don’t want to enter but he would not help me and become disresctful keep away from this dude I don’t understand how he became a personal trainer

Really nice and quite gym. The way they have the areas separated up is very clever and means that there isn’t just one weights area. This is helpful for those who are just starting out and might feel a bit intimidated in a regular gym setting.The staff are really helpful and nice. They say hi to everyone and always have a smile on their face.Disinfectant is supplied as well as a paper roll to disinfect materials after use. Water filling stations are also available.This facility alao has a lift for those with limited mobility.

Well equiped, machines are always working and in good condition. It has three different rooms that provide for good variety depending on the exercise you are doing (Bike, treadmill or general lifting). You can make a lot out of their guided sessions, which have no additional cost at all and can be very easily booked online. Pricewise, they are the cheapest gym in Dublin. However, they’ve cut the opening hours (used to be open 24 hours) and it’s very packed on eveningsSpecial shout-out to Jake and his awesome spinning sessions!

This is my favourite flyefit gym. The set up in the vaults is really cool and creates a nice atmosphere. This definitely makes the gym stand out compared to other city centre gyms. Good gym.Pros: All equipments in good condition (mostly new). Enough number of treadmills (about 10). Lots of dumbbells. Dedicated areas for cardio, weight lifting, yoga, and classes. Gym spreads across 3 floors so ample space overall.Cons: Changing rooms are not so big. They are congested even in the non-peak hours. Card readers at the entrance sometimes don’t work very well and one may need to try and swipr couple of times before they could get in.

I went for the first time to check it out. Bear in mind I went after work (17.30PM) so I guess it should have been expected, but the gym was way too small, crowded, people queuing for machines (lack of, btw) and just the overall general vibe wasn’t great at all. Their jervis street location is a lot better. Changing rooms in IFSC are also way too small.Would never go back. It gets one star due to its location.

Very bad customer service. We wanted to get a one day pass, but unfortunately couldn’t manage to buy one online. Asked the staff in charge for help TWICE (Saturday 9am shift) but the lady was rather rude and even a bit condescending (she told us that apparently their system was “simple”). After 20 minutes standing at the entrance, out cards being declined twice, and no more help to be expected from staff, we left and went to Spencer Health Club instead. Nice service over there, €10 pp., easy to get in and within 5 minutes of entering the premises we were training. Would recommend going over there instead. Oh and by the way, we left over €100 at Spencer’s.

Ridiculously small changing rooms given the size of the gym. I know its low cost/no frills but a bit of space to get changed without hitting the person next to you would be great. Also, as you walk straight into the changing rooms, that space cant be used as everyone outside walking past would see you in the buff whenever the door opens. Barely any pegs to hang your coat and always mounds of hairballs drifting around the ladies.As for the cardio equipment – there are only 3 elliptical trainers on the top floor so unless your using the treadmills (there are loads of those on the ground floor), you’re in for a wait. One stairmaster spotted and a whole lot of dead space around the place. The equipment itself seems new and in excellent condition which is a plus. The basement level can be a bit creepy and not ideal for anyone claustrophobic. Good amount of weights down there but again, you’ll have a bit of a wait depending on what time you go.Other than being overcrowded at peak time, it is relatively clean (emphasis on relatively). Central location which is handy and of course its cheap so you get what you pay for.

Minuses: Dark, cold, small gym. The ladies shower is not comfortable. No place where you can hang a towel, place toiletries. Sometimes you can smell cigarette smoke from pub. Pluses: The temperature of water is perfect. Easy system to join the gym. Are opened to teenagers. You can attend many gyms if you are Flyefit member. Not overcrowded.

Good value and open early/late which is good if you like to go off peak time. Peak times are crazy busy and you’ll have trouble finding equipment. As the gym is in the IFSC people come before/after work. Another gym in the IFSC would do them well

Terribile, an overcrowded hole in the ground filled with not enough equipments. Locker rooms are ridiculous, there’s enough space for no more than 10 people inside and the showers are dirty. I know that it is a low cost gym but there is a limit to the decency.

The gym is large and offer many equipment, they have great classes which included in the price but the maintenance and hygiene are pretty bad. The changing room are small and full of steam (the air ventilation never on). The lockers are broken and the equipment are dusty. If you go to boxing class do yourself a favor and buy your own gloves (they never wash they own).

Would not recommend. Not enough of the dumbbells that everyone goes for. Way too overcrowded at times meaning you have to fight for a bench/equipment or even space to do a plank! I was there today and was moved from one of the back areas because they started a class (fair enough) but then was told I couldn’t move Into the next studio as it was being used for a class as well, the gym was packed so I had nowhere else to do my routine so had to just leave. If you are going for price only then work away but it’s not a nice environment to workout.

Everything about this gym is tragic except the fact the equipment is new and that won’t last long. Also it is new but there’s one of each so prepare to queue. Forever. And for everything. To work out, to go in, to get out, to do cardio, to shower, to drink water, literally everything, as the space is a catacomb fit for one tenth of the people that show up daily. Showers are tragic, the locker room doesn’t have enough space to swing a cat, so during rush hours (that is practically all day long for this gym), you will pretty much be touching naked people as you try to squeeze in to get your backpack. Only 4 showers, all particularly bad with inconsistent water temperature, so in the same shower you get cold AND warm water, not enough toilets, awful internet reception so forget listening to online music, there’s been a pressure problem with the water fountains for as long as I’ve been going (6 months) and the place is so small it takes one smelly person to make the entire gym reek of body odor. Chaotic.

I go to FlyFit CHQ. This is fairly new in my opinion. The equipment looks new but the place is very small. You will not find enough dumbbells of lower weights and the place is always busy in the evenings.I sometimes have to wait for long time to get a machine or a barbel. I would rate it good in terms of quality of trainers but OK for the place and availability of equipment in the evenings.

Should be great but it’s not.The music is really too loud in an enclosed vaulted underground space esp.if you’re doing anything other than cardio Recently there have been 2 loud music sources blaring at the same time which is demented. Having to point it out to staff who haven’t figured out this might be a problem is more hassle than it’s worthw. Although it’sorted in aafriendly manner when pointed out, in fairness to them.Apart from that the changing rooms are cramped, and someone needs to realise that putting a cross trainer under an air con blasting out hot air in winter on the mezzanine is just plain stupid.Wanted to like this place cause its near but the walk to Georges or Baggott is worth it in comparrison.

Very fancy layout for the gym, set out in different areas in the caverns under CHQ. Works pretty well as a way of organising things. Changing rooms are very small, and in general you could see this place getting extremely packed at busy times. Could do with some extra equipment, particularly in terms of cable machines, but it is early days yet. Netflix connected treadmills are a nice touch. Phone reception is poor downstairs, but there’s nothing they can do about that, and sure it’ll keep you focused.
