Did you know that research has confirmed that exercising 2-3 times per week significantly decreases depression, anxiety and stress? (Hassmen at al., 2000) Exercise is truly medicine! My name is Sinead and I am a PT and Duty manager at Flyefit Macken Street.
To date, my qualifications are:
* Honours degree in Sport Science and Health (Level 8),
* Advanced Personal Training (ITEC level 4)
* Group fitness and exercise to music (ITEC level 3)
* IRFU Safe rugby and Concussion, First Aid and Water safety/pool lifeguard.
So what do these qualifications mean and if I was your trainer why would they benefit you? I spent four years studying the anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and psychology of the human body and the effect exercise has on these parameters. I gained valuable, in depth knowledge into the science behind exercising, the stress it places on the human body and the best approaches to achieve fantastic results when it comes to exercising, fuelling your body correctly and additionally, the psychological aspect which is often overlooked or neglected. A large portion of my studies focused on human nutrition, the importance of macronutrients and how to fuel the body correctly for performance. I specialise in (but am not limited to); resistance training/muscle hypertrophy, fat loss, injury rehabilitation, sport specific training to gain a competitive advantage, exercise during pregnancy and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). Sustainable nutrition plans specific to your needs and based on grounded scientific research are also available. My aim as a personal trainer is to insure that you enjoy each session with me in addition to achieving your short and long term goals. If you train with me there will be no “one size fits all” or “cookie cutter” approach. I, as your trainer will provide you with tools so in the near future you can walk into any gym or exercise facility and train alone with confidence!...
